These  strollers are designed with features to provide the ultimate in convenience for you as a parent, and the ultimate in safety and comfort for your child. They come with thoughtful details to make jogging life easier for both of you. So there’s no reason for you to stop jogging when having a baby. While many people opt not to go running with their young children simply because it is a hassle and a stressful experience,  using a jogging stroller can help parents get rid of this concern as they are handy to use and a perfect option.

Benefits of RUNNING WITH A jogging stroller

As mentioned before, if you plan to run or jog, a jogging stroller can be key. At first, running with a stroller will feel a little hard— it’s because it is hard. Different studies have found that running with a stroller results in a significantly higher heart rate, perceived level of exertion, and lactate concentration. Therefore, there are plenty of benefits of the extra work that comes with running with a stroller.

You will be able to burn extra calories

Running with a jogging stroller, such as “Jump” can be fun if you stay determined.  A study conducted by different researchers at Seattle Pacific University, broke down the number of calories burned by how you push the stroller:

  • Pushing the stroller with two hands increases the number of calories burned by about 5 percent,
  • Pushing with one hand increases it by about 6 percent,
  • And the push-and-chase method increases it by about 8 percent.

Furthermore, you can run slow with a stroller and still get a great workout. Different researchers have also found that runners can run slower than their usual pace but still burn the same amount of calories as if they were running faster without the stroller. That’s because of the extra exertion. You’re working harder even though you are running slower.

Take a look at Jump stroller

“Jump” stroller is the perfect option for families who love running.

A rear platform seat allows a child 2.5+ years to easily “jump” on and off. The comfy front seat is suitable from 3+ months or birth with a compatible infant car seat. These features make Jump your go-to stroller for siblings too. Furthermore, while many parents assume that buying a baby stroller will require a lot of space to keep in the house, did we mention that Jump it’s the same size as a single umbrella stroller? It only weighs 18 lbs and its dimensions go for 45″ L x 11″ W x 15.5″ H when folded and  30″ L x 20.5″ W x 42″ H when unfolded. It also comes with a lightweight aluminum frame, a compact umbrella fold, a removable canopy, rain cover, and a removable cup holder.

“Jump” stroller cuts down on your physical efforts and it is convenient when you are traveling. It will help your child in being secure and happy on any journey. Parents have to do a lot of things for their little ones, especially taking care of the baby when they are outside.

We think Jump will make the right choice for you & your child; it’s gonna help you to enjoy parenting.

You will be able to spend quality time with your child

We know life is busy! Between work and life responsibilities, the days pass us by in the blink of an eye. We also know that a lot of parents worry that they don’t spend enough time with their children, wondering if this will lead to developmental delays. Some parents feel guilty about working full time, or experience anxiety about choosing to work out at the gym or go to dinner with friends. When you have a baby, you probably don’t have enough time to go to the fitness center. But when you get a jogging stroller, it won’t be a problem anymore. Running with your stroller will give you the opportunity to spend quality time with your baby alone. This will make the bond between you and your child more strong.

Remember that the biggest benefit of all is that it gives you quality time with your kids. It is worth noting that you’re showing them something you love and instilling healthy habits in your children. There’s a good chance, if you make it fun like by ending at a park, they’ll think of those stroller runs fondly and be begging to go with you next time.

“Jump” strollers are made to absorb the bouncing that comes along with more intense speeds or uneven surfaces as they keep your child safe.

They have eight, super-sized wheels to glide over rough surfaces (less pushing for you) and a suspension system to decrease the impact of jolts on your baby.

Jogging stroller bar is an excellent option for stretching. Parents can just pull over for a break and perform stretching in the fresh air. So, now there is no need to hold the dusty sidebars or the filthy road signs anymore, as you just found an excellent option for stretching.

Both of you will be able to experience fresh air

Getting your baby out every day will be very beneficial. But, we must note that this may be one of the best things that you can do to help his physical and psychological wellbeing. It is not only beneficial for your child, but you can also take some fresh air after doing so much work at home. What’s more, once the baby goes outside every day, he’ll probably assume that outside physical activity is a natural thing. When your child gets used to this, you will see that the baby is so relaxed and comfortable.

It’s economic

A jogging stroller eliminates the need for a babysitter. At the same time it increases your bonding with your kiddo out in the fresh air. These are obvious perks to running with a stroller. And you can also use the added storage of the stroller for when you need to peel off a layer or need a place to stash your keys, phone and water bottle. Furthermore,  these strollers are designed to be sturdier, lighter and more maneuverable and stable than regular strollers to withstand the forces of running with them.  Therefore, it is a great idea to use a jogging stroller for everyday use. It can be a very convenient solution for parents who are looking for a sturdy and reliable option that can keep up with the demands of their hectic lives.

You don’t have to stop jogging

Becoming a parent will surely change your lifestyle. But there is no need to forget what you used to do before you had a baby. If you liked jogging before and understand the health benefits of it, then you can keep doing it. A jogging stroller can help you to continue running despite the fact that you have a child. Using a jogging stroller, you make sure that an essential portion of your daily life will remain the same. And we know how much you don’t wish to be away from your baby. So this is the way for you to have everything.  Furthermore, if you can maintain the excellent timing, stroll with the baby can also help the child to sleep. We recommend you to go for jogging before your babies naptime, and the movement will help him to sleep well.

In conclusion

When jogging with your stroller you need to stay upright, with your elbows bent and the wrist strap securely attached to you and two hands on the handlebar. If you manage to hold on with just one hand, be sure to switch arms every five minutes or so to avoid bad habits. Try to keep the busy routes for your solo runs, as navigating those terrains with a stroller can be dangerous and frustrating.

In addition, a jogging stroller cuts down on your physical efforts. It will help your child in being secure and happy on any jogging ‘journey’ you’ll take. Using jogging strollers such as jump, it is simple to carry your children anywhere you go – and also create an instant bonding moment for you and your little angels.

stroller history

From then to now- Stroller history

Baby Strollers have been with us for a very long time. You can see them everywhere you go. Be it on the street, in a shopping mall, in a restaurant or in a park. When you were a kid you were in one of it everyday. You also might put your children in it everyday so you may take them with you wherever you go.

Chances are while you push your baby down the street in that Metro baby stroller, you aren’t thinking about how that stroller came to be. Turns out there’s a lot of history that launched the creation of the stroller, and it all started with an English architect in the 1700s.

The first stroller created by an english architect

1700S: horse-drawn baby carriages

At first, it was not called a baby stroller as it wasn’t meant to be strolled around. William Kent invented the first “Baby Stroller” in 1733. He was asked to create a transportation device to bring amusement to the young ones. W. Kent designed it for the 3rd Duke of Devonshire’s children. It was in fact a baby carriage, where the carriage was intended to be pulled by a dog, a goat or a miniature horse. That’s why it was lower to the ground and smaller.

It consisted of a basket with a shell-like shape for children to sit in, affixed to large spoked wheels underneath. “The stroller” also had spring suspension for comfort.  At the time it was a trendy luxury item that only appeared in the wealthiest household, especially the royals. The invention became popular with upper-class families.

Almost a century after William Kent built the first unit. By the early 1840’s, the popularity of the baby carriage was in full swing. Even at that moment, “the stroller” device was less than entirely safe for use. No matter what, that did not stop high society from embracing it with open arms, and in droves.

Later a new design for baby carriage came out. The parent replaced the role of the animal in this design. There were handles on the carriage that allowed parents to pull a stroller behind them, with the baby facing forward making it easy for average families to use. Anyways it was easy for accidents to occur as most of them were tall and unstable.

Mother feeding her child in a forward facing stroller which is the first in stroller history

In 1848, American innovator Charles Burton was the one who changed the meaning of baby carriage. He placed handles on them so that they could be used by parents to push their children around instead of pulling them. Nevertheless, his new design was not welcomed in the United States at first. Therefore he took it to England and created a big fuss. There his version was welcomed by Queens of the time and they hired him. Burton then filed a patent for the Perambulator (also known as the Pram) in 1852.

In the year of mid-1800s, the carriage body was usually made of wicker with a metal frame. They used to never paint them. The wheels were made of original rubber on steel spokes. The carriage top was adjustable to flip forward or back to block sunlight as needed. Furthermore, the footrest was also adjustable to fit an infant to a toddler to a sitting or prone position. Usually, It used to measure 43” long from handle to end of the footrest. And was 40” tall x 22 ½” wide.

A new type of baby carriage arose again later that century, in 1889.  William H. Richardson created a more functional baby carriage and registered a patent for the reversible stroller. The firs reversible stroller in stroller history. This means that the bassinet could be positioned to face both out and in. Trying to modernize the carriage, Richardson made structural changes that allowed for the wheels to move separately. Until then carriages had axels connecting the wheels which prevented independent wheel movement. Richardson changes made the stroller more maneuverable and convenient for parents.

The 1900s baby strollers were mainly known as the “baby buggy.” Their usage became widespread among all economic classes in this era. This happened mainly because of the improvements that made them safer and the assumed benefits of providing light and fresh air to the child. Besides, charity organizations donated baby strollers to the mothers who needed them and couldn’t afford buying one.

In the 1920’s, baby carriages were becoming somewhat of a norm to society

Following World War I, safety was also being implemented with brakes, stronger frames, and enlarged wheels. Baby carriages were being updated to also include other features that remain in today’s prams. For example: deeper and roomier prams (which made it harder for kids to escape), and lower, sturdier frames (so if little ones did manage to climb out, it wasn’t far to the ground). Prams became very popular in the 1920s owing to their larger wheels and the incorporation of a braking system. These tools were created to be deeper to prevent the baby from climbing out of the carriage. They also had sturdier, lighter, and, consequently, safer frames.

It was during the 1930s onward that a lot of different companies began to mass-produce baby strollers. At that time, their production was made possible because rubber and plastic parts became more common in manufacturing. Inexpensive chrome which became widely available, replaced expensive brass parts.  Furthermore, Giussepe Perego popularized baby strollers. He did so when he founded the Peg Perego in 1949. Its design strollers use stretchy fabric instead of sheet metal and wicker.

Lightweight, convertible, and luxury models of baby strollers entered the market in 1950

Baby strollers were a must-have for new parents in 1950. Made of cheap materials and safe designs they became not just fashionable but also budget-friendly. This happened especially after Queen Victoria purchased one for her sixth newborn child. A & F Saward and Silver Cross are some companies that started manufacturing custom-made prams in the 1950s. The British Royalty being one of the loyal customers.

The Umbrella Stroller finally came out in 1965. It was created by the London Aeronautical Engineer Owen Maclaren. He constructed the first umbrella stroller in stroller history because his daughter complained to him. She told him how difficult it was to travel with her child and a pram. Maclaren’s understanding of airplanes helped him create the new model.

His design was compact-friendly and lightweight, using an aluminum frame that could easily collapse and be stored. Over 1,000 of these durable, lightweight strollers had been produced and sold by the end of 1967. At this point, strollers using this design began being used all over the world. Does his name sound familiar? That’s because Maclaren strollers are still on the market today, and is still one of the top selling brand for strollers.

Kezo Kassai invented the first collapsible baby stroller in stroller history in 1980 which could also increase the size the length forward. The stroller’s handle could be pivoted to change the direction of the stroller. This would depend on the sitting position of the baby, either forward-facing position or back-facing position.

Later in 1981, Henry Fleisher would build the first baby stroller in stroller history that had a collapsible frame using slider slots and pins joint mechanism

The wheels were not rotatable and used a single axle to maintain the wheels in place. What’s more, in 1984, Phil Baechler who at that time was a new parent wanted to spend more time with his baby son. Baechler used to be a journalist for his local newspaper whose favorite hobby was running. He wanted to be able to take his son along with him when he went on runs. Because he knew the standard baby carriage wheels would take a beating on the dirt trails where he liked to run, he replaced them with bicycle tires. After a few tweaks to his design to make for a sturdier frame, the three-wheeled “baby jogger” was born. Since that time, now in the modern era, strollers are safer and more well constructed than ever before.

1986: the double stroller history

In 1986 was created the very first jogging stroller in stroller history for two children. It was developed by The stroller company Baby Jogger. They named the double stroller “The Twinner.” We now have strollers for three or even four babies. The idea originates from here.

Today thanks to the latest inventions, parents can choose their preferred baby stroller. Their choice can depend on their budget, use, and aesthetic value. These strollers can be suitable for traveling, twin baby strollers, double baby strollers for your baby and toddler (such as Hop), and full-size strollers that are suitable for all terrains. You are also able to find a lot of lightweight baby strollers (such as Skip).

SKIP is an umbrella stroller which makes travel (and storage) easy. What’s more, skip has high-function stroller systems which boast helpful features like extra storage and snap -on bassinets or car seats. Usually, this baby stroller can make all the difference for parents in how they go about daily activities with their baby.  It is not just used as a form of transportation, but as a way to keep their child close to them.

With 6 1/2 inch wheels you will be able to conquer whatever terrain gets in your way. Quick, nimble and folds up in a flash to be stored in the trunk of your car or the tiniest of closets. Skip baby strollers are convenient for both newborn and older babies. While most umbrella strollers are designed for children 6 months and up Skip is suitable from 3+ months, or birth with a compatible infant car seat.

There are useful features of modern baby strollers which make the stroller a safe place for your little one. Here are most of them:

  • Either front or rear-facing seats

  • Folding mechanism

Modern baby strollers must have either one-hand fold, umbrella fold, or compact fold mechanisms.

  • Compatibility with travel systems

  • Height adjustable handle

  • Brake mechanism

Hand brakes are usually appropriate when it is impossible to press the brake lever by foot. The foot brakes are more convenient when a parent has his or her hand full.

  • Straps

It is important for modern baby strollers to have chest straps, waist straps, and crotch straps. They increase a baby’s safety.

  • Harnesses

Modern baby strollers can have either a 5-point harness, 3-point harness, or 2-point harness. Usually, a five-point harness is the safest for smaller babies. On the other hand a 3-point harness is safest for babies who sit independently and toddlers. Lastly, a 2-point harness is safest for toddlers and older children.

  • Tires

Instead of plastic tires, try to choose a baby stroller that has either air-filled or foam-filled tires. This will help you to give your baby or toddler the best quality ride. Foam-filled tires ensure minimal jerks and shocks, and cannot get punctured, unlike air-filled tires.

  • Wheels

Furthermore, you need to choose a baby stroller that has large wheels and an excellent suspension. It will prevent your baby from getting rocked a lot if you plan to take your baby for walks.

Without a doubt, strollers make your everyday life as a parent easier. It’s a great way to add that extra bit of ease and convenience as you get used to being a new parent. I’m sure you can’t imagine having to carry your baby when running quick errands or trying to catch the bus?

It will help you save a great deal of time and add to not only your baby’s comfort but it will also be a great relief for you as well. Today, hundreds of stroller models are available, ranging from a $15 Umbrella stroller to a $3000 stroller with the latest technology.

Which one will you choose from?

An Age by Age Stroller Guide – Infant to Toddler

A stroller is a must-have kit for parents with small children. It comes in handy whenever you want to head out running errands, going shopping, or traveling. You can have a sense of peace when going through crowded places. The parents are able to see their child in front of them instead of lagging behind or getting lost in the crowd.

The perfect ride for a baby depends on the child’s age. We know you need a good one that will actually last more than a few months. So how do you make sure you buy a stroller (or two, but not four or five) that has everything you need for every age? Stay tuned as we show you a rundown of the types of strollers and features you’ll need (and want) as your child grows from infant to toddler

Toddler sleeping in a black umbrella stroller

If you plan to use a stroller for your newborn, make sure that the stroller reclines. Must be so due to the fact that young babies can’t sit up or hold up their heads. The strollers which are able to fully recline or can be used with a bassinet attachment or an infant-only car seat are appropriate for newborns.

Take a look at Metro which comes with the included universal car seat adapter. It allows for use from birth with compatible infant car seats. What’s more, removable seat units can be used rearward facing with your child looking towards you then convert to forward facing when your child is older. Metro also offers a dual position seat which allows your baby to face you or take on the world.

Using a stroller that accommodates an infant car seat (such as Metro) you don’t have to wake baby every time you take her in and out of the car. But, if you’re a city mom, or you just don’t drive much, instead of a travel system, get an infant stroller with a bassinet attachment. It will allow you to lay your little one down and go. No attachments, adaptors or snaps (to finagle with) needed. For sure, this is something you’ll appreciate in the early sleep-deprived, new-mom days. The bassinet can also double as a mini crib.

As mentioned before, you need to look for a sturdy, structured infant stroller as your main concern is keeping baby stable, supported and comfortable. It must have a good suspension system that can absorb bounces and prevent jostling. Furthermore, try to keep in mind that most jogging strollers aren’t designed to recline. As a result, they aren’t appropriate for babies until about age 6 months.

It feels like buying a new baby stroller isn’t all that different from buying a new car. We recommend all the parents to ask themselves some of the same questions: How good is the suspension? What kind of terrain can the stroller handle? How does it deal with turns? And what’s kind of storage does it have?

Now the baby is able to sit upright. At this point your stroller’s seat is more important than ever. It has to be roomy, with plenty of support and cushioning, adjustable and offer multiple recline positions to keep up with your growing little one. It is very important to make sure it comes with a five-point harness. This will keep your child snug and secure while you’re strolling.

One often-overlooked feature that will come in handy now: a seat that can face forward or backward. It is important for young babies to have eye contact with their parents. As mentioned before, Metro stroller can be used rearward facing with your child looking towards you then convert to forward-facing when your child is older. It offers a dual-position seat that allows your baby to face you or take on the world, while both front and rear suspension ensure a smooth ride. Besides, this also allows parents to have the choice to either watch their baby or allow them to enjoy the same view as them while strolling.

Now’s that the baby has good head and neck control, parents might start thinking of buying a specialty stroller to compliment your original one. The best stroller for your baby will depend on your family’s needs. To figure out which kind is right for you, think about your lifestyle. Do you live in the city and rely on your stroller to get you, almost, everywhere? Or do you just need something to keep in the trunk of your car in case you need to run into a store with the baby or have a special outing planned?

What to Consider?

Your day-to-day life directly impacts what kind of stroller you need. Are you a mom on the go? We recommend you to look for a lightweight jogging stroller that handles both sidewalks and trails.

Consider picking up Skip baby stroller

It is a lightweight umbrella stroller which makes travel (and storage) easy. Skip also has some very helpful features like extra storage and car seats. With 6 1/2 inch wheels you will be able to conquer whatever terrain gets in your way. While most umbrella strollers are designed for children 6 months and up, this one is suitable from 3+ months, or birth with a compatible infant car seat.

Folds easily and isn’t too bulky. It has space where you can put in some extra storage. It also provides a great eight-wheel drive making it easy to use on dirt terrain or city walks and it all weighs only 14 lbs. If you plan on using your stroller every day, you don’t have to sacrifice convenience or comfort. Skip remains lightweight while offering parent trays, extra storage, and even padding. It also comes with sunshades that help shield the baby from harmful UV rays.

Black baby stroller

The child is becoming more independent and curious. He/She wants to soak in the world around. Now your child is constantly hopping out of the stroller and you’ll likely wind up carrying it. It is very important to go for a lightweight model with a quick and easy fold (such as Skip). Also, the stroller should still have a five-point harness to keep your wiggly explorer secure. Its wheels must be easy to navigate. When your toddler is walking next to you holding your hand, you’ll need to steer the stroller with the other hand. It’s not easy to do with every stroller.

Pick the right timing

Picking the right timing requires observation over time. You might want to try introducing the stroller to your baby at different times of the day. Start to take note of the times or circumstances under which your child is more willing to accept it. For example, early in the morning after your baby has had a good night’s sleep he might like to be in the stroller.

Make it fun

For babies and toddlers, you need to provide a beloved toy or object to keep them occupied in the stroller. On the other hand, to help older kids, consider inventing a game of sorts. For example, you could play spot the next red object. Then see who gets there first, by stroller of course – it’s faster.

Stay connected in some ways

Try to engage your baby with your voice. You can also provide loving physical touch to give them the comfort of your presence. Furthermore, we recommend you to consider a rear-facing stroller (Did you see Metro?). This way your baby can have eye contact with you.

Take regular breaks

If your baby has been in the stroller for some time, try to give him sufficient opportunities to get out of the stroller. You might want to do so before he starts crying. For older children, we recommend to give them a break from the stroller before they try to wrest their way out of the stroller.

This question has been a subject of debate for many years and will likely continue to be so. Even though the stroller can be a lifesaver for parents, there comes a point when your child has to stand on their own two feet — and get walking. There are no set guidelines, but the general opinion leans toward kids over the age of 4 to 5 years being stroller-free. The transition is supposed to start at about 3. At this time your child is able to walk confidently and understand your directions.

There exist guidelines for how much exercise your children should be getting every day. Different studies have indicated that spending too much time sitting during a child’s formative years can lead to obesity later in life. Experts consider the length of time a child sits in a stroller comparable to watching TV. That’s why it should be limited. They advise only strapping them in for a maximum of 60 minutes.

  • Children also need to avoid extended periods in the same position

Healthy exercise levels for kids under the age of 5 is suggested as at least 3 hours a day. No, we are not talking about hitting the gym with your toddler. You can choose activities like dancing, swimming, a walk in the park, or even playtime in your backyard. Anything that gets them moving helps!

Happy child playing with her mom at the park

Doing so can help your kid to:

  • Develop motor skills and they will be able to move more fluently.
  • Improve cognitive development including memory, thinking, and problem-solving abilities. These will lay the foundations for academic achievement.
  • Maintain a healthy weight.
  • Develop muscles and bones by building strength.
  • Lastly they will learn social skills through interacting with others during play time.

Therefore, if your child looks confident on their feet and shows no interest in wanting to ride in the stroller, then why keep on using it?

  • Strollers are convenient.

Using a stroller makes everything easier. This is one of the main plus points for the parents. Your busy mom lifestyle might mean time is limited. As a result the stroller helps to get you and your child to places faster than on foot. For sure, we have all faced the cries of “I’m tired” or “My legs ache.” In these scenarios, scooping them up into a stroller gets you mobile again. Besides, not only is it great for your child to enjoy what’s going on from their comfy chair. But it is also a handy place to store all of the baby stuff you can’t leave home without.

  • Strollers provide safety.

Every parent knows how it feels to worry for their child’s safety. At times, having eyes in the back of your head is not enough. Using a stroller could provide more protection. Losing sight of your little one is possibly every parent’s nightmare. The trouble is youngsters are naturally curious. They love to explore their surroundings. So, when buckled up, you know where they are at all times.

Remember that kids develop at different rates. You might have a 4-year-old looking more like a 6-year-old or vice versa. So no one’s to say whether either of them is too old for a stroller? Their physical ability can vary — some may find coping with distance an issue. In other cases, a stroller could be their only option for getting around — those less fortunate who might have a medical condition or a disability.

Of course, placing your child in the stroller for too long can eat into their precious activity time which is essential for health and development. But this tool is a necessity as it helps you and your kid to enjoy your lives. And yes, there is no need to overuse them. This is an issue in our society and something to be mindful of.  No one knows your child better than you do. So go on and choose that baby stroller that is suitable for you and your family. Then, as your toddler grows more and more and still you feel they need more time in strollers, don’t be pushed into ditching the wheels.

If your baby is a girl then dresses would be the best easy choice. Floral dresses for example, are always timeless and chic. Dress it for spring and summer! Next, classic Polka Dots are a girl’s best friend when it comes to patterns. We believe that every girl should have polka dots in her closet. It makes them happy and it also makes them look like a graceful diva.

Here’s where parents and babies stay comfortable and cute at the same time.  We recommend you to dress your baby in comfortable & stylish jeans pairing them with a white top! Simple as that and very easy. This combination goes well during summer or even as casual wear. Stretchy denim with adjustable, elastic waists and hems would be a good choice. Also, they would be perfect for photos and playtime. If you want to make it more interesting, start by matching them with a jacket or a jumper.

It’s ok to use plain colors on your clothing. A bright pop of color is all you need to coordinate and you’ve got yourself a winner. Try to create a miniature version of yourself by keeping it simple. We know that dressing your tiny tot can be a bit of a struggle sometimes. And we know that dressing your tiny tot can be a bit of a struggle sometimes. So here are a few things for you to keep in mind, that we find helpful. Comfort is very important. For sure you know that wide necks make dressing easier. Always choose easy-to-wear loose sleeves. Think about your baby’s clothing sizes. Try to customize baby outfits 2 or 3 sizes larger. This way your kiddo can use them at least for 6-12months!

Also, it is very important to use soft/cotton material as much as possible. Choose the fabric carefully so that it does not irritate your little one’s skin. Keep in mind that you should avoid materials that have too many embellishments such as sequins, beads, etc. Lastly, don’t be afraid to experiment with bright vibrant colors. As we all know, it is almost universally accepted that blue is for boys and the palette overwhelming with pink and purple is for girls. You should ditch the stereotyping and enjoy the full range of colors and styles.

What’s more, Vie is definitely not your typical umbrella stroller. Quick, nimble, and easily collapsible, it is the stroller that goes everywhere and you can stash anywhere! Keep one in the car for quick outings.

And believe us, this is the one you want to travel with!

Stroller years are precisely those when human brains are developing more rapidly than they ever will again. Most adults have no idea just how tuned in babies’ brains are to the environment around them. Young brains are being shaped by every single tiny experience that a child has so they need us, grown-ups, to pay attention to their emotional needs.

A baby stroller that comes in different colors such as red, blue, yellow and green not only will make the twinning process easier. It will also make your child love the stroller even more. As we all know young children are attracted to warm, bright colors. Remember that contrasting colors (as you find them in the Vie’s composition ) send the strongest signals to a baby’s brain to help stimulate brain growth and aid in visual development.

This is explained by Dr. Sears Wellness Institute. By three months, a baby starts to see color and the addition of brighter, primary colors become important for their development. This way you can increase the child’s desire to “walk” with you and at the same time contribute to his development by exposing him to the colors of the stroller. If you want to make sure your baby enjoys their stroller as much as you do, it is important to understand how they perceive color. In addition to visual stimulation, psychological studies show that color has an effect on mood, behavior, sleep, memory, and even health. Warm colors create a comfortable and intimate environment. So this stroller is going to be a thrill for your kids.

Matching with your baby is a trend that dates back to the 1900s. It has gone in and out of style multiple times since then.  This look caught popularity in the early 1900s when French couturière Jeanne Lanvin introduced the trend following the birth of her only child, Marguerite. Marguerite was born in 1897. It was then when Jeanne realized there was a gap in the fashion market and debuted a high-end children’s line in 1908.

She used the same materials and styles that were part of her women’s wear, and her child served as her model. The mother-daughter duo were spotted donning matching outfits very frequently. At that time Marguerite found matching outfits embarrassing. Today most of the celebrity moms and their kids are parading around in coordinating couture outfits. They are making the style look cool! Starting from the late Princess Diana and Prince William’s matching pale blue coats in the early ‘80s to Beyoncé and Blue Ivy’s matching Gucci dresses who have mastered the art of twinning.

In 1908 the trend didn’t last for a very long time. This happened as a result of The Great Depression which sidetracked a lot of luxury industries. At that time, even upscale women could not afford high-end clothing to match their children. Later, after the economy rebounded, the trend returned. Then women were seen again matching their daughters while they did house chores, like cooking and cleaning.

Lately, in recent years, the trend has made another comeback. And of course, it looks a bit different in the age of social media. Today, celebrities have been taking to Instagram to post photographs of their and their daughters’ lookalike outfits. Such posts are always a hit. Followers are loving the adorable and fashion-forward twinning look.

1- Matching with your baby emphasizes the parent and child relationship.

The matching outfit style flourished in a time when there was a cultural emphasis on the mother-daughter relationship. It was first seen in the 1908 photograph of Jeanne and Marguerite. They attended a ball with identical outfits, with their hands clasped and eyes intertwined. That picture is full of emotions. It easily illustrates the strong bond between a mother and her daughter. That beautiful photo became so iconic that it later served as an inspiration to the Lanvin logo. So, no matter how you feel about the trend, there is no denying that it results in a mother and daughter being together and bonding.

2- It helps parents to dress young.

On top of all these, parent-child twinning is also a way for the parents to look and dress young. Such designs are often intentionally trendy in order to emphasize a parent’s youthfulness instead of their baby’s maturity. Today, there are many ways parents can ride on this trend.  You can buy matching clothes on brands like Gucci, Dolce & Gabanna, along with Lanvin. They offer twinning outfits at hefty price tags. But there are also several budget-friendly options on the market.

momy and baby matching

The mom and baby matching trend was first started by moms who matched their daughters. They were seen as affluent women who had time to plan outfits, sew outfits or afford high-end fashion. But, as mentioned before, those who support this trend believe it represents a strong bond and relationship between a parent and the child. Wearing matching outfits shows that the parents are invested in their child’s life and interests. It is a fun, creative, and interesting way to dress up.

There are a lot more reasons behind the fashion, so rather than asking ‘why twin?’, ask yourself ‘why not?’

What is “the right stroller” and why does it matter?

What is right for one family may not be right for another. There are a lot of different reasons for this including things like cost, lifestyle, and family size. So, the right stroller is an affordable one (for your family) which matches your lifestyle and family size. As mentioned before, finding the right stroller matters because it has the power to make your daily life (with a baby) much easier and more enjoyable.

  • COST

We know how much strollers cost and we are happy to tell you not to stress out too much over budget. It’s true that higher-end strollers can cost upwards of a thousand dollars or more. No matter what, it is also very possible to get a stroller that fits your needs for much less.

Furthermore, you need to answer some questions that will help you figure out which stroller would be the best. This is where lifestyle comes in. For example: Do you need a stroller just for occasional outings? Or you need one for a heavy near-daily use? Other lifestyle factors to consider would be:  Will you be lugging your baby stroller through the city?

Are you able to transport your stroller via the car? Do you have space in your home or apartment for stroller storage? Are you planning to use one stroller for all of your needs? Or you are thinking on buying an all-purpose stroller then adding on a travel or jogging stroller as your little one grows? The stroller has to meet the needs of your lifestyle, this is very important. Therefore you have to think a little bit harder about these questions and more before deciding what’s right for you.

Lastly, try to consider your ideal family size. Are you planning on having more than one child? Then, we recommend you to make a larger investment on a model that can eventually accomodate more children. Of course you’ll have to be able to stomach the bigger price tag. But it is going to save you from having to buy more than one stroller.

Surviving multiple children: Tips for parents from Parents

Multiple children playing in the kitchen

We know what it takes to be the parent of one or more kids. Usually, parents of multiples may be tired, too busy taking care of the children, they may feel like they do not have enough personal time and space or they may also feel socially isolated. To survive multiple children and their needs, they have to mentally prepare themselves each day. Therefore, having more than one child makes it easy for the parent to become completely consumed in caring for them as this brings challenges all of its own.

If you’re looking for ways that will help you as a parent to still be able to chase some of your favorite hobbies, in this article you will find some tried and tested tips from other parents that we are sure will make your life easier and assist in balancing your needs with those of your children. There will be no need to abandon all of your hobbies and interests. What’s more, you will also be able to create a bit more peace in the household.

So let’s get started!

The more kids you have, the more likely you are to be pulled in many different directions. As we all know, it’s impossible to be in more than one place at once, therefore you might find that you need someone to watch the kids for just a couple of hours so you can finish your household chores, go to an appointment, prepare meals, or do your taxes. Or if you’re working at home—actually get your work done. Sometimes, you also just need a quiet afternoon to yourself to appreciate a little silence or spend time doing what you love (hobbies). This is why we recommend you to ask for help (no matter the fact that it can be tough, especially when it comes to your kids) and also consider who you want to approach.

You might be lucky enough to find yourself in the position of having many people who can pitch in—neighbors, family (grandparents), or friends. In this situation, you may want to think about who will best care for your kids and who is most reliable and dependable. On the opposite, you may want to get to know other parents in your community. And it is going to feel more comfortable to ask if you can share tasks, rather than ask for them to watch your kids without anything in return.

Furthermore, during the process, it is very important to manage the emotions associated with getting help as you may experience guilt, anxiety, or sadness. Just don’t let these feelings lead to unhealthy behavior. Instead, try to acknowledge your feelings and use healthy coping skills to deal with them. Remind yourself that this is the best for you and your kids as it might help you silence any negative thoughts you have.

With a list of rules, everyone in the family becomes clear about your expectations. They help create structure. No matter how much your kids protest, they need and want boundaries to feel safe. Creating household rules is essential as children have limited experience and knowledge and are not always a good judge of what is right and wrong, good or bad, safe or dangerous. Family rules help children understand what behaviors are okay and not okay. And as kids grow, they will be in places where they have to follow rules. Following rules at home can help the child learn to follow rules in other places.

So that all family members get on the same page about rules parents should:

  • talk about what rules would help their family and agree which ones to set,
  • post the rules in the house so everyone can know them,
  • make sure everyone knows what is allowed and not allowed,
  • ask all caregivers to be consistent in monitoring and enforcing the rules,
  • and lastly, remind children about the rules by repeating and posting them in the home.

Furthermore try to use discipline to teach, not punish.  It is very important to understand that it’s all about teaching and education, not punishment, threats, and training. Never forget to show your child you respect them by explaining why the limit needs to be set. Help them understand it’s for their good and the benefits to them. Respect is a gateway to your child’s cooperation!

Do you sometimes feel pressure to make your children’s childhood “magical.” We know parents often feel like they are not doing enough for their children. Keep in mind that those special things kids really want are not fancy getaways. It’s not some amazing destination they care about — it’s the time spent together. Getting out into nature is a wonderful family activity.  It promotes physical activity, family bonding, and learning — not to mention, it’s really fun!

When you’re active with your kids, they’ll learn the importance of being physical, getting into the fresh air, and spending time together as a family. This can also be the perfect time to ask questions about each other. It will help to check in with your child, especially if you’re concerned about their mood.

Walking through a park, checking out a new neighborhood, and exploring a local nature preserve are fun and inexpensive ways to discover and learn new things. But if you have got two very young kids it is worth noting that you will need a stroller to help make your walks convenient.

Take a look at Hop stroller

Taking the weight of your children off your shoulders, this double stroller is, accordingly, an exceptionally advantageous method for keeping your infants with you at unequaled without depleting yourself excessively.

Having to carry one kid and push the other can be stressful on the body.  Not only is it nearly impossible and completely impractical to try and push two single strollers at once (especially if you’re also juggling an overfull diaper bag), but it is also very unsafe for the children and tiring for the parent. Hop allows you to quickly place both of your children into a secured space and head out the door with no fuss. It also comes with car seat adaptors, which can make life as a parent even easier. All you have to do is move your car seat from car to stroller and vice versa without the hassle of having to unbuckle and re-buckle your babies.

You need to (unapologetically) prioritize your sleep. Different research suggests that parents who have kids are more likely to be sleep-deprived, but having kids does nothing to men’s sleeping patterns. There is a gender sleep gap, and the myth of the supermom allows it to continue. Moms need sleep as much as dads do. We also do not recommend making the mistake of trying to sleep in sync with your partner. One parent may need more or less sleep at different times of the month, so matching bedtime isn’t as important as listening to your body.

It is worth noting that insufficient sleep doesn’t give us more hours, it just makes us less productive in the time we do have. For sure parents will do better if they get the recommended amount of sleep every night, not just on the weekends. Sleeping enough will make you happier and healthier and a whole lot of other things are life-changing.

When you have a good work-life balance, you’re more likely to have the mental and emotional energy to give your children the loving attention they need to develop, learn and thrive. A well-balanced family life can also help you enjoy life, manage stress and prevent burnout at work. It is true that small changes in the way you organize and think about work can help you feel more satisfied with your work-life balance.

Organize your work:

  • Take on the most challenging tasks at the beginning of the day, instead of at the end.
  • Set boundaries around how much work you do outside hours, including limits on checking and responding to emails or phone calls or attending out-of-hours meetings.
  • Emphasize your work hours to your coworkers and clients (include work hours or days in your email signature).
  • If you work from home, have clear start and finish times or block out parts of the day for work, rather than constantly checking in with work. Also, try to keep your work area separate from family areas.

Before you leave or finish work gradually shift to thinking about home and family. Call your partner, your child’s caretaker or your child on the way home. This can take your mind off work and give you a chance to catch up on your family’s day.

We recommend you to have a ritual or routine to mark the physical, mental and emotional move from work to home, from worker to parent. It can be as simple as changing out of your work clothes. If you work from home, try going for a walk around the block or doing a five-minute workout.

Furthermore, to help yourself change your perspective on work start to take a moment in your workday to think about your children. This could be just looking at a photo. It will be easier to remember the reason you’re trying to achieve a work-life balance.

Traveling with kids

Do you as a mom feel like you are bound from traveling with kids? Although for now, gone are the days of only worrying about yourself, it is not easy for a parent to come across the fact that their child may be the reason they don’t take trips: see blue Italian lakes, or admire foreign skies.

And yes, it’s true that it is hard to travel as a mom. At times you will find it expensive, and it can also feel impossible. But we are here to tell you that no matter what, you can do it. Other moms have done it. Other moms will do it. So can you.

The fear of “What if?” is the cause why multiple moms are preventing themselves from booking flights and planning to travel. We also know that leaving the kids at home isn’t much easier as moms feel more anxiety leaving them than they would taking them. It is worth noting that not going anywhere is an option you should not consider because traveling with your children can be a rewarding experience if planned for in advance. At this time there are one or more tinier human beings along for the ride and they can make  things a bit more complicated, so stay tuned as we mention some travel hacks that will help keep you sane on your trip. You are going to adore travelling with your kids.

Formerly mentioned, traveling with kids can be one of the most rewarding adventures you can have together as it enables families to form a stronger bond

It is a very important experience which not only helps in creating family memories but also helps kids’ education to foster a world view beyond their own backyards while at the same time encouraging independence, self-confidence and interpersonal skills.

Recent studies by the Student & Youth Travel Association have shown that kids who travel do better in school as traveling promotes a global education.

It is thought that kids are able to absorb knowledge more effectively through experiential learning, so while trying new cuisines and getting to know local customs, they may even pick up a little of the language.

Moreover, experiencing new cultures often means children are more open minded. It teaches them the importance of making memories and enjoying experiences, rather than wanting possessions. We all know that days spent hiking through the mountains and swimming in the sea, stimulate an active lifestyle and appreciation of the outdoors.

Finally, travel inspires children and grants them new ideas & fresh perspectives which can be used throughout their life; and that’s why we name it as “the gift that keeps on giving”.

Here are some tips that may help you as a parent to enjoy your journey more.

  • Book family-friendly cruises.

In order to have a relaxing holiday with kids we recommend you to book family-friendly cruises or try all-inclusive resorts as a first step. This will help you a lot because you will be able to stay in one place or cabin, and have meals and food accessible at any time of day. Furthermore, baby and kids club options galore can also be easily accessible, so your holiday can be as busy or relaxing as you wish. Do not forget to include kids in the travel planning process. Depending on the age, it’s a good idea to include them on this as they love to help, so seek their input, get them to do some research on their own, and they’ll have greater buy in and be excited about what they want to see. What’s more, introducing kids to the trip ahead of time is especially important for first-time travelers.

  • Pack a folding stroller.

If you have children under the ages of two years old, it is important to pack a folding stroller. Take a look at Vie which is quick, nimble, and easily collapsible.
This is the one you want to travel with as it is lightweight and inexpensive that may be perfect for occasional strolling needs. Vie baby stroller also fits well in small car trunks, or in limited closet space, and it is very easy to get on things like public transportation. You can maneuver these baby strollers pretty well in crowded situations and in every terrain so there is no need to worry if you’re planning on going to state fairs, to amusement parks, through busy streets or the like. Finally, this stroller is also great for airplane

  • Be strategic with the suitcases.

Try to be strategic with the suitcases by packing your family’s suitcases in an untraditional way as it can save you a lot of time and hassle. If you’re traveling with kids, we recommend to pack by day and not by person. Keep everyone’s clothing for a certain day or two together and then have a dedicated bag for toiletries and other necessities. That way when you’re hopping from hotel to hotel, you’ll only have to lug a couple of bags at a time. This is also an ideal way to pack in case luggage is misplaced so that no one will be stuck without his or her entire vacation wardrobe. And please, pack as little as possible. Don’t overpack as it will just lead to frustration and sore arms.

  • Always have snacks available.

Don’t forget that hungry kids can take a fun family trip to miserable in a matter of minutes. I can’t emphasize this enough as this is why you always should have snacks available for your kids! Besides, you never know when the time between meals will get extended. It could be a delayed flight, unexpected traffic getting to your hotel, or a tour that takes a bit longer than you thought it would.

  • Invest in a GPS tracking device.

In case you’re worried about your child getting lost, you can brand them by writing your name and phone number on their arm making it easy for you to be contacted. Either-way, you could also invest in a GPS tracking device. Attach it to your child’s wrist or bag, and follow along via the app.

It can really save you a lot of money every time you travel. You can ask for discounts on: transportation including buses and trains, private guides, tours, attraction entrance fees and restaurants (some have kids eat free promotions). Even when there’s nothing written, be sure to ask.

  • Stop putting it off.

Lastly, the best tip we can give for traveling with kids is to stop putting it off. Instead get out there and travel. Keep in mind that everything might not go according to plan, but your family will love seeing the world, and you’ll be planning your next trip before you know it.
